Investing in research creates jobs, attracts additional investment, improves education and steers youth toward careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines, all while increasing our society’s knowledge. In West Virginia, the Higher Education Policy Commission’s Division of Science and Research directs the National Science Foundation’s Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and other programs that direct research funding.
